Mahasiddha Kadampa Meditation Centre has recently purchased a building which will become the first Kadampa Buddhist Temple in Sydney. Many people have worked hard over the past 8 years to achieve this by offering their time, skills and services to the project as well as supporting our fundraising efforts by attending events, making tax deductible donations and offering interest free loans.
While we think that our new building is close to perfect it needs a little work! We are currently fundraising to be able to transform it into a beautiful city Kadampa temple – for yourself, others, and future generations to enjoy. Please consider making a tax deductible donation that will go directly towards the Temple and the upgrade of our new building.
our current projects
• The refurbishment of the commercial showroom to create a large, beautiful and contemporary Temple for World Peace
• Renovations and necessary upgrades to public spaces including the provision of disabled facilities
• Building residential accommodation
Our aim is to raise $80,000 to facilitate these projects. Making a donation to Mahasiddha Kadampa Meditation Centre is a unique opportunity to be part of a project that will immediately bring benefit to thousands of people and will continue to bring benefit for generations to come. helping onsite
We also need volunteers to help on site. You don't need any skills (though please let us know if you have any!), just a willingness to help. We require help with building work, painting, cooking meals for the volunteers and cleaning. Here are photos of some of the onsite helpers so far:
